- We are all guilty at looking at our cell phones and talking on them, but try to use that bluetooth more.
- Try to minimize looking at accidents on the side of the road.
- Try to keep you car at a consisent speed even when the Interstate change direction slightly.
- Use your cruise control more.
- Use the restroom before you leave to go home. Never know when the urge to go might hit and in turn you won't have the tendency to speed home and cause accidents.
- Just use common sense.

Everyday traffic
I believe everyone can relate to traffic headaches all over the US and beyond. You probably get into a traffic jam at least once a week. That actually happens to me quite often going down Highway 50 into Sacramento every evening. You want to know some of the reasons that we have all those traffic jams? One of the major culprits is when accidents happen in the road or along the side of the road and everyone has to look over and see what happened so that they can tell there spouses that evening or have something to talk about later on. If everyone would proceed with caution but not stare over at the accident, most traffic jams would be minimized. Additionally, when you change the road incline, decline, or direction too abruptly for cars, people freak out and slow down and in turn cause traffic jams. These slow downs normally happen to me when I get close to the intersection of Highway 50 and 99 or Highway 50 and I-5 and even on the causeway from Sacramento to Davis. Too much change in direction freaks people out and we all slow down. Another reason for these traffic jams is because Sacramento never had the foresight to build a beltline around Sacramento. I will warn Sacramento now that if you don't do something soon, traffic in Sacramento is going to be worse than New York or LA in the not so distant future. In the mean time, we can all work together and follow some basic guidelines so we can all get home quicker and safer everyday.

my first blog ever....of course that title is lame
Hello world...please laugh...
I think for my first blog I will write on a video that I saw of Michael Pollan on the Daily Show . This guy is really cool. Please watch this video and read his books (i.e. Omnivore's Dilemma). The healthcare system is broken for one main reason and that is because we eat cheap food that is full of crappy ingredients such as artifical colorings, artifical flavors, high fructose corn syrup, partial hydrogenated oils (aka transfats), and monosodium glutamate. Eating good wholesome food can fix the healthcare system and decrease our obesity problem. Read the damn label everyone. Be informed. Take a stand against crappy food.
I actually have a theory and it probably has already been studied before, but I believe that eating crappy food makes you feel bad and in turn increases society issues such as crime. Of course everyone out there is saying I can't afford wholesome food. There is actually pretty good alternatives out there now. Take for example Trader Joe's. They are a private, small food market company that is rapidly growing across the US. They sell reasonable, natural and organic food. Please take a look. Taking babysteps initially can change this country and the world.
Until next time...
